The R’ajwa Experience and the growing Interest of Black Americans in Ghana

The R’ajwa Experience is a division of The R’ajwa Company with the main objective of curating experiences for clients visiting Ghana and Japan. Lady May Hagan is the Founder & CEO of The R’ajwa Company which is a Connector Agency with clients in Ghana, USA and Japan.

With Ghana’s Year of Return last year, The R’ajwa Experience curated unique cultural and entertaining experiences for clients throughout the year. The R’ajwa Company even had the opportunity of taking Comedian Conan O’brien and his team to Ghana and producing the Ghana episode of Conan’s Without Borders TV show.

What’s driving the ‘birthright Africa’ travel boom?

Unfortunately, with Covid-19, The Ghana government’s plans of extending the activities from last year’s ‘Year of Return’ to this year’s ‘Beyond The Return’ had to be put on hold. However, this hasn’t stopped the interest that The R’ajwa Experience is seeing about Ghana especially from Black Americans who are looking to relocate permanently. This interest peaked with the murder of George Floyd and the racial tension that ensued in America after this .
Also, Hon. Barbara Oteng Gyasi, Ghana’s Tourism Minister’s invitation for Black Americans to move to Ghana made Ghana even more appealing to Black Americans looking to relocate.

The R’ajwa Company is now assisting individuals and families who are interested in moving to Ghana as well as providing support to companies who want to set up offices in Ghana.
